There will only be one level of entry this year:

Ensemble/guitar orchestra composition

Ensemble = 3 guitars (or more) only (no other instruments)
Orchestra = any combination of the following types of guitars: contra-bass, tenor,
                    bass, alto (requinto), soprano.  Acoustic (metal strings) and electric
                   guitars are also permitted.

The duration of the piece must not exceed 7 minutes.

There is no registration fee.

Please send votre work (paper) in 3 copies, under your pseudonym, as well as an audio recording (live or MIDI), to:

Also please include in the envelope containing your piece, written under your open name, a 2nd sealed envelope, this one with your actual personal informations.

Your composition must be sent in on January 17th 2010 at the latest (the posting stamp will serve as proof).

On February 7, 2010, the director of the event will submit, anonymously, all the works to the 3 judges, to be graded and judged individually.

The winning composition will be announced on March 17, 2010.

The winning composition will be published by Les Productions D’Oz.

The winner will have the opportunity to perform his(her) composition, with his(her) own musicians, during the friday night ensemble recital, as part of the 2010 Guitare Montréal festival. This will not be a paid performance.
